The main issue most of us have with creativity is the same issue most of us have with all of our thinking. The vast majority of the thoughts we had today are the SAME thoughts we had yesterday. The default mode network of the brain operates on patterns & that means that whilst we have an infinite array of creative options available to us, we rarely get as far out of our own neighbourhood as we like to think we do.
Enter, Die Theory - a series of techniques to elevate your creative thinking by adding a new creative partner into the mix: A six-sided die.
During this session you’ll be shown how to wrestle chaos into a useful tool that can help strategically elevate your output for each brief. These are the same techniques used in our sister company, HIGH CONCEPT, during the initial ideas generation phase and are designed to blow the doors off the first level of ideas generation so that you can do what you do best - creatively construct, edit and combine the assets you’re provided into something wild, unexpected but deeply effective.

Order and chaos are essential opposite forces in life. Chaos, without order, can tear a life apart. Likewise, order without chaos becomes a grave built decades too soon.
VERY DRAMATIC!
But also very true - because whilst we have countless Ted Talks and Podcasts teaching us the many ways we can inject order into our lives, we have very few considered philosophies on how to conjure up the wild, creative adventure of chaos in a more conscious manner.
A ‘Life of Die’ isn’t so much a gimmick, as it is like bolting a random number generator to your normal pattern of thinking. Day by day your brain isn’t used to working, so much as defaulting to an answer it previously discovered. The die will be a simple, objective device that gets your brain exploring again so you can bring a little more curiosity, play, adventure and risk into your life as often as you feel its needed.
