Imagine if there were a studio dedicated to original ideas. No sequels. No spinoffs. No repeat collaborations. Each project such a one-off, it defies genre & medium - but not explanation - because whilst we spend most of our time breaking rules, there is one rule we always stick to:


If it can’t be pitched in one sentence to a stranger in a pub,
we won’t make it.

But that doesn’t mean our stories are simple - far from it.

High Concept projects are genre-bending, medium-melting works of wild speculation - it just so happens they’re also clear, captivating, and commercially minded,

i.e. tell great stories, live to tell a few more.

Right now we’re looking for future collaborators - High Concept is a creative collaboration studio, so we’re not looking for auteurs. Also, please do not send any ideas, we have a very specific process for idea cultivation which means we’re not looking for fully formed projects and we will not be reading scripts/proposals. Every new project is crafted in-house and treated like a homegrown experiment. We love your passion for your own project, but there will be other homes for that story.

Working with us will be a different kind of adventure and we’re currently looking for showreels from Directors, writing samples from Screenwriters, Novelists and Poets as well as submissions from Artists, coders & all other creed of creator.

High Concept is an imprint of HYPERREAL and we’re not focused on one single media. Whilst there will be films, there will also be stories told through the medium of theatre, Fine Art, experiential, metaverse applications, and media not even invented yet. This is the storytelling equivalent of the Wild West - even we don’t know what we’re going to do next.
